There is no other beer from Italy as famous as Peroni. The consumers around the world will surely be pleased to find out that Birra Peroni, the company producing Peroni beer, switched to sustainable energy as of 2020.

The beloved Italian beer has now one more reason be the consumers’ choice. Since the beginning of 2020, it is brewed by wind, photovoltaic and biomass energy. And that is true of all of its breweries in Rome, Bari and Padua which all belong to Asahi under the Birra Peroni brand.

Our planet deserves it

All of our breweries tend to incorporate sustainability solutions to its production and we are happy to say that the Italian famous beer-maker succeeded in reducing its water and energy consumption. Thanks to this and similar accomplishment of Netherlands’s Grolsch or other sustainable choices in Poland, we will be able to brew about 15 million hectolitres of beer with sustainable energy in Asahi ABEG.

“I am proud of everyone in Birra Peroni who has contributed to this significant step on our journey. Our planet deserves it,” adds Paolo Lanzarotti, CEO of Asahi in Europe.
